Founded by Mike Long, a lifelong player and former recording studio engineer who began buying, selling, and trading guitars during his university days in the 1980s, the business steadily grew into one of the UK’s most respected names in vintage instruments.

In 2025, ownership passed to Steve Hove, an experienced hand with over 20 years in the vintage guitar world. Steve's background includes time on London’s legendary Denmark Street and work with several leading vintage guitar dealers. Over the years, he’s developed an enviable portfolio of clients and has personally sold thousands of instruments to players, collectors, bands and enthusiasts around the globe. As a keen guitarist and songwriter himself, he has spent many years in bands recording and touring across the world.
