Released in 1985 as part of Roland’s Guitar Synthesizer series, the G707 was a follow-up to the popular GR-700 guitar synth module. Roland had been at the forefront of guitar synthesis for years, and the G707 represented a significant step in the evolution of guitar-to-synth integration. Featuring advanced MIDI capabilities and a new polyphonic tracking system, the G707 enabled musicians to explore a broader range of sounds than ever before, paving the way for guitarists to dive into the world of synthesis with ease.

The G707 has a unique and futuristic look that was typical of the early '80s. With its ergonomic body shape, the guitar feels comfortable to play and offers a sleek aesthetic appeal. The instrument features a solid, durable build with a distinctive, glossy finish that combines traditional craftsmanship with the cutting-edge technology of the time.

It uses Roland’s cutting-edge synthesiser technology to generate a broad array of tones, from traditional analog sounds to futuristic digital textures. It can produce up to 6 voices of polyphony, enabling rich, layered sounds and complex chords. It's equipped with a hexaphonic pickup system that allows each string to send separate signals to the synthesiser. This means that it can track and process notes individually, offering greater accuracy and expression than traditional MIDI controllers.

The synth engine includes a wide range of built-in sounds, from lush pads to sharp leads, and even classic string or brass ensemble sounds. These can be modified using the intuitive on-board controls. Users can modify sounds via the onboard interface, adjusting parameters such as filter cutoff, resonance, modulation, and more. It’s an excellent instrument for exploring new sonic landscapes. It even includes built-in digital effects such as delay and chorus, giving players further creative options without needing additional outboard gear.

An excellent piece of kit giving access to a multitude of sounds! This one is in excellent condition and is complete with floor unit and mdi cable.

It has recently been serviced and checked over by the UK's prominent expert in these things bus due to the nature and complexity of this, we are selling it on an AS-IS basis however please remember you will have 14 days from delivery to return it if you do not like it!
