1964 Gibson SG Junior, Faded Cherry

Description

This 1964 Gibson SG Junior is a killer player-grade example with all the right vintage vibes and none of the common structural issues. No breaks or repairs, and crucially, it's the desirable full nut width version before Gibson slimmed things down in ’65 - giving it that classic, comfortable feel in the hand. The medium to chunky C neck profile is immediately inviting and plays beautifully thanks to a quality refret and replaced nut.

The original Cherry finish has faded and worn in all the right places, with plenty of lacquer checking and edge wear that tells the story of a guitar that's been out there doing its job for decades. Honest wear from real use - Custom Shop/Murphy Lab this is not!

Some parts have been replaced - tuners, non-original bridge, but otherwise it's all there. The original dogear P-90 delivers all the raw, punchy output you’d want from an SG Junior—bright, snarling, and rich with harmonic content. It’s a lightweight, resonant guitar with tons of energy and response!

If you're after a proper vintage SG that’s been out in the world, gigged hard, and come out the other side sounding and playing better than ever—this is the one!
