1995 Fender Cunetto Mary Kaye Stratocaster + OHSC

Description

We have only ever sold five original 50's Mary Kaye Stratocasters. They are not common and are now fetching £100k plus for good original examples. They are also in our option, probably the nicest looking Strats out there and a perfect combination of finish, hardware and that lovely 50's maple neck.

This 1995 Fender Stratocaster is a stunning example of a limited-edition "Mary Kaye" reissue, crafted during the early days of the Fender Custom Shop under the direction of Vince Cunetto. Known for its distinctive aesthetic and vintage-correct appointments, this model is a tribute to the original 1950s Stratocasters made famous by jazz and pop icon Mary Kaye.

The guitar features a classic translucent blonde finish over an ash body, allowing the grain of the wood to subtly show through. This iconic finish is complemented by superbly aged gold hardware, including vintage-style tuners, bridge, and tremolo system, adding to its period-correct appearance.

The neck is crafted from maple with a smooth, comfortable "soft V" profile and a 7.25" radius fingerboard, staying true to the specifications of the '50s Strats. It comes equipped with Custom Shop '50s single-coil pickups, delivering that legendary bell-like tone and responsiveness Fender is famous for.

This model is highly sought after by collectors and players alike, due to its limited production and meticulous attention to detail. The instrument embodies the craftsmanship and vintage feel that Vince Cunetto’s Custom Shop team was known for during this golden era of reproduction guitars.

Serial Number: R0221

Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case, along with Fender Custom Shop COA and all the case candy you see pictured. This guitar offers both visual appeal and the classic tonal versatility that has made the Stratocaster an enduring favorite among guitarists.

This is a real beauty - probably will not last long...
