1971 Fender Precision Bass Olympic White + HSC

Description

If ever there was a bass built for to rock then it has to be this 1971 Fender Precision Bass in nicely worn, Olympic White…

This bass certainly has the look. The Olympic white finish has faded nicely and chipped off in the places you like to see (if this is your kind of thing!) There is evidence of what looks like a sticker near the controls and the overall look is rock ‘n roll indeed. The back has some nice checking with some more wear.

The neck is in great shape as is often the case with the polyester finish though like the body the colour has darkened a little. The fretboard is brilliant with plenty of fret left. The edges of the board are comfortably rolled and it is a very nice bass to play and feels comfortable like a well worn leather jacket.

The hardware is in good shape and shows no real signs of wear.

The pickguard is in great shape though a previous owner has added an additional screw near the pickups on the bass side to stop the guard from warping. Electronically the bass is correct apart form a couple of solder joints that have been reheated.

The bass comes with a hardshell case

This bass has a great tone unplugged. Classic P-bass tone which translates to the amplified sound. Both controls work well and the neck feels very comfortable.

This bass looks the part and would not be out of place under the lights of a dingy rock club pounding out the jams. Go grab this, plug in and rock out!
