1965 Fender Mustang, Blue

Description

A superb example of a 1965 Fender Mustang, with slab rosewood fingerboard - an unusual feature of Mustangs of this period.

This one is in really lovely condition, with light signs of use all over consistent with its age, and subtle vertical checking all over the body finish. All of the electronics appear to be stock, un-tampered with and are all in good working order, with the grey bottom pickups both dated '65.

The neck is a medium C profile, very comfortable to play and the slab rosewood board is beautifully dark ands oily in appearance. The pair of single-coil pickups provide plenty of bite and cut, and are well balanced, while the short scale length gives the guitar an easy, lively feel that has made Mustangs a favourite with players across a huge range of styles.

The only change on this guitar is a set of replacement Kluson tuners, in order to preserve the original double-line Kluson set which is included in the original 'salt-and-pepper' hardshell case.

Overall a really wonderful example of a mid-60's Mustang with all its original accoutrements. A fantastic addition to any collection!
