From the Martin Barre collection we have this stunning PRS P22 looking resplendent with it's flame Maple top and Grey/Black finish. The P22 is a really versatile instrument that blends the classic tone and craftsmanship of a PRS solidbody electric with the versatility of a built-in piezo system - the first production PRS to feature a Piezo pickup in a solidbody format.

The body is made from Mahogany with a carved figured Maple top, finished in a striking Grey/Black that highlights the natural flame of the maple. The Mahogany neck is carved into the comfortable Pattern Regular profile and paired with a Rosewood fingerboard adorned with PRS’s signature bird inlays. The 25” scale length and 22 frets make it a familiar feel for PRS players, offering smooth playability across the neck.

Electrically, the P22 is loaded with a pair of PRS 53/10 humbuckers, known for their warm, vintage-inspired voice with clear highs and balanced mids. These pickups deliver everything from thick rock tones to subtle clean textures with clarity and depth. Complementing the humbuckers is the LR Baggs piezo system embedded in the PRS-designed stoptail bridge. This allows the guitar to produce realistic acoustic tones that can be blended with the electric signal or run to a separate output for independent amplification.

Like all PRS' this guitar is a joy to play. The pickup options give you plenty to experiment with and the craftsmanship and finishing is typical of PRS' high standards. A great example in excellent condition, complete with hard case.
