1985 Epiphone Riviera Antique Sunburst 'Bonehead' Nr MINT + OHSC

Fancy a Bonehead spec Riviera just at the right time to form the latest Oasis tribute band...?
This example, a Japanese Matsumoku made guitar made in 1985, in is in superb condition and has all the hallmarks of a Matsumoku guitar such as the fret nibs, serial number style, Japan markings on hardware and its distinct shape.
There is hardly a mark on it anywhere and even the hardware is gleaming. One knob cap appears to be missing and it has its original case. Probably this is one of the finest examples out there.
The body has a laminated maple top, back and sides. It comes with the original three ply pickguard with the printed black ‘E’ logo. It also has the period correct rectangle tan label inside the body below the upper f-hole. The body has 16” body width and 1.75” body depth.
The neck is made of three piece maple with volute. The rosewood set fingerboard joins at the 19th fret and has parallelogram inlays. There is a 3 screw single ply white truss rod cover with a black ‘E’ logo. The neck has 22 frets at 24.75 scale length.
The binding over the body and neck is 1-ply with the binding going over the fret ends. The pickups are Maxon MMK-61 humbuckers, with 2 volume & 2 tone witch hat style knobs. There is also a three way pick up selector switch.
The hardware is chrome with Epiphone Gotoh style Machine head tuners and a Tune-o-matic bridge. The bridge is a stop bar tailpiece style.
The case is the period correct case with the gold ‘Epiphone’ logo. The cases that came with these guitars are not the toughest, but they are very hard to come by. Please see the photos for any damages, scuffs etc.
If you are looking for one of these then I doubt if you'll find a finer one and it amazes us that it is now nearly 40 years old..!
