Presenting a very cool 1983 Fender Elite Stratocaster – a vintage option from a unique and experimental period in Fender’s history.

Designed by Dan Smith, John Page and Freddie Tavares as a response to the epidemic EMG equipped Strats that were popping up, the Elite was a real attempt by Fender to embrace the trend at the time for souped up guitars.

The pickups provide a familiar Stratocaster sound – but check out the internal pictures and you’ll see that there’s more than meets the eye! The Elite features a dummy coil for true humbucking sounds, as well as the TBX tone control system and an active mid-boost circuit (a precursor of the Clapton mid boost) for subtle tonal adjustments. It's easy to get to grips with and sounds excellent.

It’s great to play with a super comfortable medium-C neck profile, and a really nice evolution of the age old Stratocaster trem system.

This guitar is totally original, with original frets, electronics, and finish. It also comes with its original hard shell case and a load of original paperwork, brochures and case candy.

Whether you're an experienced player or a collector, the Elite Strat offers an exciting alternative to your standard early 80’s Fenders, and is an authentic addition to any musical setup…
