A vibey, well-played 1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in a bold and vibrant Cherry Sunburst, this one’s clearly been someone’s go-to guitar—and for good reason. With plenty of honest edge wear, a worn-in neck that feels superb in the hand, and loads of natural mojo, it’s a textbook example of how the good ones always get played!

Like its Tobacco Sunburst sibling we currently have in stock from the same year, this is a post-sandwich body Norlin-era build, featuring a solid mahogany body, carved maple top, and a 3-piece maple neck with volute. The finish has aged beautifully, with just the right amount of fading and wear to give it that seasoned, rock ’n’ roll look.

The mini humbuckers give this Deluxe its signature sound—tight, punchy, and clear, with just enough growl when pushed. It's a sound that cuts through, with a midrange focus that works brilliantly in a band mix. The original Nashville bridge and amber speed knobs are present and correct, while the tuners have been swapped for Kluson-style replacements, with some visible holes from the original set.

The neck plays beautifully—smooth and broken-in from years of use—and combined with the naturally resonant body, it makes this one an addictive player. If you’re after a vintage Les Paul Deluxe with soul, tone, and the scars to prove it, this is it! Not a case queen—just a proper, road-hardened Gibson that feels as good as it sounds. A killer Norlin-era workhorse!
