1966 Fender Telecaster, Blonde

Description

A very cool, lightweight 1966 Fender Telecaster in Blonde, showing just the right amount of wear to let you know it’s been played and enjoyed. The finish has aged nicely, with subtle lacquer checking and natural wear throughout that gives the guitar a lived-in, honest feel.

The rosewood fingerboard features pearl dot inlays and matching sidemarkers, paired with a transition logo headstock and a JUL '66 neck stamp. It’s been refretted, an additional string tree has been removed, and there are additional tuner holes under the double-line Klusons.

Electronics include a set of CTS pots dated to the 9th and 12th weeks of 1966, all working cleanly, with the original 3 way switch and tweaked wiring for post-'67 style individual pickup selection without the bassy preset neck pickup sound. Plugged in, it delivers that unmistakable mid-'60s Tele tone—bright and clear in the bridge, with a woody, rounded neck position that’s great for rhythm work or mellow leads.

This is a solid mid-‘60s Tele that plays well, sounds great, and has plenty of personality. A smart option for anyone looking for a proper vintage lightweight Tele with character that’s ready to be picked up and played!
