This is a very nice example. The front and back have some dings though the finish is still in great condition. There is some buckle rash on the back.

The neck has been refinished, possibly due to a heel repair though we are not certain. The fretboard and frets are in great condition. Tuners have been replaced with Grovers.

Plastics and hardware are in good condition with the inevitable wear to the gold plating. The bridge is a later Patent Number example and the stoptail is a later example.

Electrically everything looks correct and the guitar is still wired in stereo. Both Patent Applied For (PAF) pickups have some solder disturbed on them but we have no reason to think they've been rewound.

The guitar comes with a later Gibson black tolex hardshell case.

All the touchstone tones are present here, the PAF pickups delivering as you’d expect. The neck is very comfortable and the guitar feels incredibly comfortable to play. The sound is authoritative without being too heavy in the lower midrange. The bridge pickup barks when encouraged whilst the neck pickup is all kinds of smooth without losing definition.

Sometimes only an ES-345 will do. Grab this one before it gets away…
