Mid 1960 Fender Stratocaster is wonderfully worn in condition featuring that charming shade of sunburst you only get during the slab-board period.. 

Very light weight, and a joy to play with three totally original, classic 1960 black bottom pickups with that bell-like quality that's a hallmark of these early 60s guitars.

Finish has faded to this beautiful two tone sunburst, due to the weak red hue that Fender used during this period, one of the nicest looking sunburst of any vintage Stratocaster. The wear really set this guitar apart and it has quickly become a firm favourite here in the showroom - just look at it... 

All hardware is correct and is in good condition considering. Pickups are all original formvar windings and all electrics are correct. Pots are all dated week 20 of 1960, neck has a 6-60 date.

Beautiful player too with a slim, fast neck that is a real joy to handle. It has been refretted with a new nut fitted. 

The guitar comes with its correct brown tolex hardshell case with yellow lining which is in good condition.

As with most of these early 60's Strats, this guitar plays and sounds fantastic. Pickups are wonderfully balanced and deliver a wide spectrum of tones. There is a certain magic to these guitars, like they'd reached a zenith in the manufacturing process, a finesse that is maybe lost in later examples as the process becomes further streamlined to speed up construction.
