Sometimes it's just three chords and a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior…

Born from a desire to provide a no-frills yet well constructed alternative to the company’s other offerings, the Les Paul Junior proved popular with all who appreciate the primal nature of the instrument. Introduced towards the end of 1958, the Double Cut design added better upper fret access to the neck and the cherry finish gave the guitar a fresh look for the coming decade.

Classic pairing of mahogany and cherry finish in a killer package. The top has faded a little and there are a fair few bumps and scrapes all over the body but nothing that detracts from the look. There are no signs of any repairs. 

The neck has that classic ‘59 profile with full feel in the hand. There is very little wear on the back of the neck. There is a small crack, not a break, by the low E tuner that has been well repaired. The fretboard is in great condition and the original frets have plenty of life left in them. Tuners look to be correct with no sign of any others being fitted. The decal is still strong.

The guitar comes with its correct cardboard case.

Plastics and hardware are in great condition and original with the exception of the jack plate.

Electrically everything is correct with no sign of any modification.

What can we say about these guitars that you don’t already know? Incredibly versatile for an instrument with so few options. The controls are very interactive, coaxing out a wide palette of tones. These guitars are incredibly popular for a reason.
