Always a welcome sight, here is a 1955 Fender telecaster with body only refin

As you can see from the pictures the body date is 10-55 which has not been removed in the process of refinishing this guitar. The finish is very good and has been suitably reliced.

Neck is in great used condition with plenty of life left in the original frets. The date isn’t clear but looks like also a 10-55.

Hardware is in good condition considering with some slight corrosion.

Plastics show some signs of wear but nothing too extensive. There is also evidence of the other colours that have been applied to the guitar over the years.

Electrically the pots are from week 15 of 1955 and the wiring has been modified to post-67 specifications so there is no capacitor across the bridge pickup and you have access to both pickups together. A treble bleed cap has also been added.

The guitar comes with a nice repro thermometer style hardshell case in tweed.

Classic tele twang and a wonderfully resonant instrument, there’s a reason these white-guard instruments are so revered in their own right.

Classic instrument with some well thought through mods, what more do you want...?
