Probably the cheapest guitar you will ever see listed on our website but don't let that fool you...
Sorry, this item was sold out.
Obviously pretty far from our usual fair, this Giannini GN-60 Nylon String guitar from 1972 is actually rather lovely.
Hand made in Sao Paulo in Brazil by the instrument manufacturer Giannini, this is a beautifully made classical guitar that is a far cry the Woolworths specials that so many of us had the misfortune of learning to play on!
Giannini actually have a pretty interesting history, having created their own instrument called the “Claviola”, a sort of funny shaped classical guitar. Jimmy Page used these Pretty extensively in the early 70s for performances of the song “Tangerine”.
Build quality is top notch here, with all solid wood construction, the sides being rosewood and the top being Spruce. The fingerboard is a lovely thick slab of Rosewood too.
Playability is great, with a slightly narrower than standard nut width which definitely makes it easier to transition from a conventional steel string.
Overall condition is really good, with only minor scratches and dings for a guitar of its age.
Definitely one for those of you with a nylon string shaped hole in your collection, this has a warm and sweet sound that will make you very happy indeed…
