Nice late 60's Tele with lots of transition features and at a nice price too...
Sorry, this item was sold out.
After the true golden era of Fender and before the dark ages of the 70s, quality instruments did continue to be produced, and this here Telecaster from 1969 is one such example.
Initially difficult to tell and presented to us as an original finish, we think this one has had an old body only over spray so we are erring on the side of caution and pricing it as such. Apart from that, it is a real nice Tele with pretty much everything else original. Pickups and hardware are correct, and the pots date to1966 which is not unusual for a 69 guitar as Fender had taken delivery of a large pot order in 1966…
Wiring is a mix of plastic and cloth which is common for 1969 and body is finished in nitro, neck is poly which again is what happened in 1969.
Condition wise this is a well played in instrument. The body has got is fair share of chips and dings, while the neck has some decent wear either side of the finger board giving it a really nice played in feel. The frets are actually in really good condition and have plenty of life left.
All in this is a great playing and sounding guitar, ready and waiting to continue life as a working instrument, don’t let this one get away…
