A long neck ES-330 for those of you who prefer the ES-335 type of feel but with the featherweight of the ES-330 body and the amazing vintage P-90 quack...

Looks and tone that are not to be underestimated, its a 1968 Gibson ES-330 TDC
Taking a cue from its semi hollow cousins, Gibson made the 19th fret neck joint an option for the ES-330 in 1968 giving better upper fret access.
This guitar is in good condition with a vibrant cherry finish. There are some signs of wear, in particular on the back of the neck where it has worn to a smooth surface along quite a substantial section. Elsewhere the finish has escaped blemishing though there are a few minor dinks.
The tuners have been changed at one time for a period with Schaller tuners though the correct Kluson Double line tuners have been fitted now. The frets and fretboard are in good condition with some signs of wear to the fretboard though the frets have plenty of life left in them.
Hardware is in good condition. Two of the saddles have been replaced under the the top B and E strings at some stage and the pickup cover where replaced as the originals had been modified by a previous owner by widening the holes around the pole pieces, probably making it easier to adjust the pole pieces.
This is a well balanced instrument, its light weight belaying a confident, rootsy acoustic tone. The slim taper neck is comfortable and familiar with easy access to the upper frets. Unlike its centre blocked relations, the archtop construction of these guitars lends a sense of space to the tone, married effectively with a pair of original P90 pickups. These convey the warmth of the wood with a single coil clarity that gives the ES-330 its characteristic timbre. In short, this guitar does sound amazingly good!
Included with the guitar is a non-original hardshell case.
These 19th fret ES-330 are certainly dark horses and though they haven’t got the status of a ES-335 they shouldn’t be overlooked in the hunt for tone. Grab this one before it gets away.
