Astounding, investment grade example of one of the rarest Strats around. This is a real find and I do not think will last long around here. Read on for more details...
Sorry, this item was sold out.
Once in a while we come across a guitar that just completely takes your breath away and blows your mind. This is without a doubt, one such guitar.
Not sure how many people know how insanely rare maple cap neck Fender Strats are from 1967 but believe me, they are! Not only that, to find one in collector grade, just about MINT condition is a find of a lifetime…
This is a just about MINT condition, all original 1967 Fender Stratocaster with an early maple cap neck with the gold transition logo that looks like it has spent virtually all of it’s life under a bed somewhere. I think you would struggle to find a nice example anywhere on this planet Earth.
It is totally unfaded, it is still as vibrant as the day it left the Fullerton factory in late 1967. In fact when you take off the pickguard you see absolutely no difference in sunburst at all and I have hardly ever seen that! All hardware is gleaming and almost like new and the ultra rare maple neck is still a perfect light shade of maple. Quite unreal.
Needless to say, not a single solder joint has been touched, all electrics and hardware are 100% original or correct and it even includes the bridge cover and the correct trem arm.
Neck date is November 1967 and all pots date to the 10th week of 1966. Wiring is the cloth wiring with the green ground wires that you often see in 1967.
There is zero wear on the original frets, zero wear on the amazing fingerboard and the guitar is set up as good as new with a fast, low action and an amazing should from the three strong, balanced pickups.
Not sure what more I can say really. Have a good look at the many pics in the gallery as they are just pure guitar porn. This is probably one of the finest guitars we have had here in recent times and a true investment grade, collectors item. It won’t last long…
