Stunning 1963 Vox AC-30 T for you delectation.
Introduced in 1958 at the request of Hank Marvin, the AC-30 would go on to be a touchstone of guitar tone, gracing stages all over the world. This amp is in great condition as you can see from the pictures. The basket weave tolex, a feature introduced in 1963, is free of tears and any real signs of wear. Similarly the grill cloth, though sagging slightly in front of the speakers, has not worn or shows signs of fraying. The copper coloured anodised control plate has a few minor marks but nothing to substantial.
Internally a few of the power capacitors and resistors have been replaced and the amp has been thoroughly tested to make sure its safe. As you’d imagine, for these amps to work as they should, some of the component need to be updated.
No shipping on this one, afraid it is for collection only!
This amp has a great tone, very evocative of the period with plenty of headroom.
Anyone searching for that true JMI period tone need look no further. A great sounding amp in such fantastic condition, it would be madness to walk away.
