1960 Gibson ES-330 Blonde

Beautiful, superbly rare and pretty desirable, golden era, blonde Gibson ES-330 TDN in original natural finish with a nice classic 1960 flatter neck profile and wide (43mm) nut that makes this year Gibson guitars to be just as sought after by some players, as the ‘59’s.

All original and largely unfaded blonde finish. No touch ups and no repairs. It has had a refret with slightly taller frets and a new nut, other than that nothing has been changed and comes in a slightly earlier, beautiful Lifton Cal Girl type brown case.

Plays beautifully and in fact everyone who has stopped by to give it a try has been super impressed by this little beauty. Even the feedback through our 1955 tweed deluxe is super controllable and perfectly usable. Fret wear is very little, there is a bit of fingerboard rutting but nothing to detract from the playability and the action is low enough to feel like it plays itself which is always a good sign of a vintage ES guitar.

Two original, vintage P-90’s are perfectly balanced (not always the case on these 330’s) and have enough mellowness, quack or bite to suit any preference. We will be making a video to demonstrate this shortly…

It does have a few small dings here and there, it is not a museum piece and there is some neck wear on the back (see pictures) and some characterful checking all over, but overall it is in excellent shape and should not distract you from the fact that this is one of the very best and without a doubt one of the rarest ‘60 ES-330’s we have had here for quite some time…
