Not to be mistaken for Blonde which is a see-thru finish, this one has yellowed beautifully over the years, giving it a beautifully aged appearance. Overall condition is excellent for the year, with the guitar presenting remarkably well and just enough ageing and discolouration to give it some nice character and vintage appeal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck is stamped APR ’69. It's a fantastic neck profile and overall it plays very well benefitting from a refret and changed nut. It retains the correct F-stamped tuners, although another set has been fitted at some point, leaving extra tuner holes beneath. These are largely hidden with the correct tuners back in place and don’t detract too much from the overall presentation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eElectrically, the soldering around the pots is slightly untidy, suggesting some previous work. The Stackpole tone pot is dates week 30 of 1965, while the volume pot code is mostly obscured by solder, with only the final “0” visible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck is a particular highlight with a well rounded C profile at the lower end, tapering to a slimmer depth as you get towards the body. This makes chord work a joy and allows for a bit more freedom with lead lines, string bending and higher register playing.
