Stunning Gretsch Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbird from 2008 in fantastic original condition. This unconventional looking guitar was one of three instruments designed by the late great Bo Diddley for his band in 1959 and built using Gretsch parts. The original Jupiter Thunderbird was subsequently gifted to none other the Reverend Billy F Gibbons - too treasured to take out on the road the Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbird was born. 

Produced as part of the Gretsch Pro Collection since 2005, the Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbird has inspired some great crossovers such as this White Falcon inspired model. Featuring a heavily chambered Mahogany body with a Maple top, one piece Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard and Neo-classical inlays, traditional Gretsch headstock with gold Gretsch logo. The gold continues with the Falcon Inspired Gold Sparkle Binding to the headstock, neck and body balancing perfectly with the Aged White finish. Pickups are by the venerable TV Jones with a Power'Tron Plus bridge pickup and a Power'Tron in the neck position wired to a 3-Position Pickup Switch with a Master Volume and Master Tone and independent pickup Volume knobs. The gold plated hardware comprises of locking Sperzel tuners, pickup covers, rhinestone detailed control knobs, adjustable Tune-o-matic bridge and Bigsby B3G Vibrato. 

The lightweight chambered body gives the guitar a lively acoustic voice with the TV Jones Powertons doing exactly as intended with the character of a PAF-style humbucker whilst retaining the essence of a classic Filter'Tron. The neck has a comfortable medium C profile that tapers out towards the body with measurements at the 1st and 12th fret of 21.6 mm and 23.6 mm.
