1976 Ibanez Artist 2619, Antique Violin Sunburst

This Ibanez Artist series perfectly displays the high-quality craftsmanship Ibanez became known for in the 1970s. Featuring a set neck construction, carved Maple top and high spec appointments like the multi-ply/abalony bound body and gold hardware the 2619 is an excellent, versatile instrument that is a joy to play. 70s Japanese made Ibanez' are great value vintage pieces that are always gaining in popularity thanks to their quality of materials and construction.
This example has an added DiMarzio humbucker at the bridge position with the original Super 70 at the neck. These pickups cover a lot of bases sound wise, from smooth jazz tones to punchy rock distortion. As well as the three position pickup switch and individual volume/tone controls the 2619 also features a phase switch allowing for a whole array of tonal options. Overall this is a very versatile guitar great for studio or live environments.
All in all a very nice example of Japanese vintage that represents excellent value in today's market!
