Superb, mid - late 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom with a one pice body and a three piece neck in very lovely condition, with a good weight and all totally correct aside from a very well done and sympathetically done (ie not enormous tramline type frets) re-fret.

Have a look at the pictures and you will see the very fine condition this brilliant guitar is in. We often see these with tons of buckle rash, loads of neck wear and lots of changed parts - usually tuners are the first to go, followed by pickups, then knobs. None such malarky has ever befell this guitar and it is a real treat to find one so original and nice as this one is.

Weight is a very nice (for one of these) 4.27Kg, we usually see these 69’s in the 4.5 range. It has a cool, deep dish top which is one of the many features people like on these guitars and the neck still retains a bit of mild chunkiness like the first 68’s did.

Pickups are the original PAT number, sticker variety with covers that have never been on or off so that means no repairs or rewinds and while not as ‘hot’ as some, they do possess a beautiful chimey tone that will please most and when pushed, they can sing with the best of them.

Hardware is all totally correct, even down to the screws and we do not think a single thing (aside from the frets) has been changed on this. Tuners are fine, original waffle backs and work as well as you could want.

Guitar, with its recent-ish refret, plays well too and has a nice low action with an excellent feel all over the fingerboard. No dead spots and well set up, ready to go.

Needless to say, there has been no breaks or repairs or any finish issues at all on this beauty. No overspray, no touch ups and it is a real nice example.

Included is the correct purple lined, no logo case that is too in very good condition.

We have a decent collection of vintage amps in our amp wall now so if you wish to come down and try it out, you would be more than welcome…
