1968 Gibson B-25 rare Cherry Red + OHSC + Tags + receipt
How about this super rare Gibson B-25 in cherry from 1968? It is great condition with zero play wear.
Taking over from the LG-2 in 1962, the B-25 retained the laters 14 ⅛” width, X braced spruce top and laminate mahogany back and sides, incorporated the adjustable bridge that was a feature of all Gibson guitars by the 1960s. Commonly found in cherry sunburst or natural, there are a few examples finished in ebony and even fewer in cherry.
This guitar is in stunning condition, looking to be hardly used and the finish doesn’t seem to have seen very much of the sun. There is a mark to the top on the bass side but this is the only notable damage.
Also included are the original hang tags and the receipt from when it was purchased new.
The neck too is in stunning condition with no sign that this guitar has been played for at all. There are no marks on the headstock and the finish, as with the body, shows hardly any sign of crazing.
The pickguard is unblemished and the rosewood bridge and saddles, a feature of B-25’s after 1966, are in great condition.
The guitar comes with its original case which is in near MINT condition.
These Gibsons have fantastic overtone-rich sound. The trebles are thick and meaty supported by the mids beautifully.
A super-rare find, this is a must have for any acoustic collection. Grab it before it gets away…
