This one has seen some action so if you're looking for a 60s Gibson with a ton of character at a player grade price look no further! The finish has faded to a very nice watermelon hue; a great look reminiscent of Gibson's red finish in the late 50s. Outlined by yellowed binding gives this guitar a fantastic vintage look!

This one has had a stoptail conversion with the original trapeze removed and the ABR bridge changed to the Nashville type. All hardware is chrome typical of the period. Pickups are the original Pat No. humbuckers with stickers intact. The neck pickup cover has undisturbed solder, the bridge pickup has had the cover removed at some point. They both balance well, the bridge pickup gives you oa really nice 335 chime with the neck pickup producing that warm, jazzy, mellow sound.

Electrics appear untouched and the guitar retains it's original black beauty caps. Inside the body is the 'Union Made' orange label, the ink having almost completely faded. Given the fade to the finish it's clear this one has spent some time in the sun!

The tuners are replacement Yamaha with the original holes filled. It has had a headstock repair and the neck has been oversprayed but there's some really nice flame to the mahogany neck and the guitar feels great to play too. Thanks to a refret it plays well. It looks likely the board was sanded during the process too but the setup overall is very good - the C profile wearing the slimmer nut width well.

Included is an original 5 latch Lifton case from the late 50's which alone is worth a few bob...

Overall this is a cool player grade instrument great for anyone looking for vintage looks and tone on a budget, and as an extra treat it includes a 50s brown Lifton hard case!
