Here’s a stunning, original custom colour, Olympic White, very early 1963 Fender Stratocaster that has that feel, look and sound that defines everything you expect a good Strat to be…
All original custom colour Olympic White with no touch ups or overspray on either the neck, or the body. It has had a recent-ish refret with thankfully the correct size frets so plays and looks very nice indeed. A different switch was installed, but the original is now back in so some solder has been disturbed. No modifications other than heating some solder joints were required to re-install the correct switch.
All correct hardware, all original pickups with no rewinds and intact solder on volume pot means they have not been out of this guitar. All pots are original and dated 6th week of 1963. Neck date is September 1962 and serial number places it in 1962, it has a full painted neck pocket so it is a guitar that started life in late 1962 with final assembly early in 1963.
It has that medium chunky 1963 neck profile that so many players really like and with the recent refret is a dream to play with a nice, lightweight and resonant body. Come down and try it out and I think you will definitely be impressed.
As this was an original UK supplied guitar, the case with it is a UK sourced period correct fibre case that we have seen a few guitars from this era arrive in and is in good shape but not as strong as a hard case so do not go taking it on the road with this case!
We think it looks just fantastic with just the right amount of pure, 100% original, wholesome, natural relicing. It is in fact a joy to look at, looks mighty fine in our showroom and brings a smile on the face of everyone who picks it up.
A rare Strat that ticks all the right boxes in every way. I am sure the new owner will have a big grin on his/her face when he or she leaves the store with this beauty in hand..
