Stunning, near MINT Fender Stratocaster from arguably the most desirable year of manufacture...

How about a super clean, early 1963 Fender Strat anyone, with no issues, un-faded with hardware that looks just a few years old…?

This is an all original early 63 Strat in classic sunburst that has hardly faded at all. It has virtually zero fret wear and fingerboard wear. It comes with its original brown hardshell case that is also in near mint condition so has probably been with the guitar from its birth date which is around early March 1963.

All we can say about this guitar is that its truly stunning. The three tone sunburst alone is so vibrant, having miraculously escaped the ravages of time and any real fade. the lacquer shows no signs of checking, retaining a deep gloss which is a wonder to behold. There are a couple of dings here and there but nothing that really detracts from the overall look. Next to the finish, the maple used for the neck is sensational and the lacquer has hardly faded at all. Almost white looking it is so clear.

So often, the nitrocellulose pickguards do not weather well but here we have only a little shrinkage without any warping and the original colour has not faded at all. The other plastic parts are also in tremendous shape as you can clearly see from the pics

Electronically, as you’d probably expect by now, all the solder joints are totally original and the pot codes read 6th week of 1963. Serial number dates to 63 and neck date is Jan 63 so this is a guitar without any doubt made in easy ‘63.

Sonically, this guitar delivers those wonderful 60’s black bottom Strat tones built on the bedrock of a spry acoustic sound. The neck profile is a nice medium one and is not skinny like some of this era can be and it is a nice light weight of 3.34Kg

We cannot quite get over this guitar. The finish, the neck, just everything about it just has to be seen to be believed! You don’t see these everyday!

Pop in and have a look and a play, you will not fail to be impressed…
